Beijing Zoo and Summer Palace Pics

Maeve's first visit to a zoo included a Panda ... but it was sleeping and she was unimpressed, didn't actually look at it.
She did actually look at the white tiger, poised to jump out of its pen on her ... But again, wasn't impressed, and gave us a look that suggested, "So ... rare animals. What else you gonna show me today?"
We gave up on the zoo, and took Maeve to the Summer Palace.
Here, our group entered a student artist's studio deep in the enormous area of land the Summer Palace takes up (the Emporers spent their summers here instead of in the Forbidden City). The last scroll-shot shows a girl whispering a secret to her grandfather. One couple in our group purchased it ... Unfortunately, it wasn't us!
Ah well, next baby!
And next up for Maevey, something to top a Summer Palace.
Hmm. How about a great big wall?
Tomorrow we'll find out if a wall can impress anyone under a year ...

Ciao from the State Guest,
the Forde Family, getting a relatively night (with all your prayers).
P.S. We finally found something for Peter during today's explorations, as well as an extra something for Miller :)

I love these photos, and how relaxed all of you appear! wish we were all there to cheer you on, but must do it from a great distance! what gorgeous art, fit for Queen Mab, and too bad about it passing into the wrong hands (jk), love

god she is SOOOOOOO adorable. she IS truly photogenic - just a little angel - those EYES that MOUTH - those little curious, furrowed, gleeful brows...that SMILE...

she is exquisite.

and i have to say - i have never seen our Kit Yee looking so damn RADIANT - and Pat - the joy that exudes from you in these photos - it must be heaven finally to be holding your little girl and she's yours to keep... we cannot wait to embrace her ourselves.

but this aura that is surrounding the two of you in these photos - i've never seen either of you looking so wonderful, wondrous... won over obviously! Must be that intoxicating aura of our little Maeveling, that honey moonchild.

my heart is bursting with wanting to hold her - i feel so connected to her right now - the new journeying that has begun...

woa ai ni - come home safely and swiftly...(can't wait to see that Wall of China - you've leapt a major one for yourselves now and you're running free... so thrilled for the 3 of you that you've found each other finally.)

crazzzzzzzzeeee auntie nance (jealous as all get out but joyful too!)

What fantastic photos, truly the trip of a lifetime, to see such wonders and to do so in the company of your life's treasure, Maeve. She looks so happy with both of you, thank God. We pray that her sleep is less troubled by her nightmares and that her dreams are growing more and more of you. Just a few more days, take good care of yourselves. Love to all
